Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park

“The small park with a big message”

About Us

Nestled in the beautiful Alameda Botanic Gardens, the AWCP is home to a collection of both exotic and native species. The AWCP is the only Wildlife Park in Gibraltar.

We care for exotic animals confiscated by the authorities and animals such as the Cotton-topped tamarin, on loan from international Zoos, to raise awareness of important endangered species through conservation education.

An essential role of the park is the conservation of threatened species, including supporting international conservation projects.

Meet the Animals

The park provides care and housing for exotic animals confiscated at the border or left behind by former owners. Animals such as the cotton-topped tamarin and various tortoise species live together with endangered species whom the park relentlessly tries to protect and save.

Come face to face with the rare animals and experience their gentle nature first hand.

Visitor Testimonials

Wonderful zoo and lovely staff, always a win visiting a zoo so focused on conservation and animal welfare.

Categorically the best wildlife park experience I have had. The small but very cheap attraction/rescues Centre is a truly amazing experience that gives you much time and engagement with animals. We spent a good 45 minutes hanging out with Lemurs and Tamarinds.

Cheap, great selection of animals, well looked after, great for kids. You get to go into the area where the Lemurs live. Worth a visit if your in Gibraltar!

Very friendly staff girl and very cute animals. There is even one closed space, where you can be in contact with several birds and lemurs.
